Something Blue Graziela Gems

Wow, what an event! I first of all want to send a huge thank you to JCK for putting on yet another amazing LUXURY show. We were so thankful to be amongst the best and brightest in the industry and were more than comfortable in the Elite Enclave.

This year was a milestone year for Graziela Gems as we launched and displayed our newest collection, Something Blue. This 30+ piece collection is a quintessential Graziela Gems collection made with 18k gold and the rare, brilliant, Paraiba Tourmaline. I am beside myself and truly honored to work with one of the rarest (100x more rare than diamonds!) gem in the world, mined in my homeland, Brazil.

The Paraiba gemstone is so special to me and I have been absolutely obsessed with it ever since I first laid eyes on it. I’ve never seen anything as beautiful or mesmerizing as the perfect neon-blue Paraiba Tourmaline gemstone. It truly has a life and energy that no other gem carries. Discovered in the 80’s, this gem owes its splendid color to manganese and copper, an element never seen in tourmalines before. These gems are so vivid that they glow intensely, even in low light settings, and when faceted, they scintillate with an unusual fire giving it an electric or neon glow. I truly believe that these gems are a treasure from nature!

I’m so proud and humbled to be able to create pieces of jewelry with and around them. I respect their personalities and design each piece to bring out the uniqueness of every individual stone. The Something Blue collection is mined exclusively at the Batalha Mine in Brazil. The collection is comprised of faceted Paraiba Tourmalines in a variety of shapes, cabochons and slices. Every piece I design is unique and one-of-a-kind. No two pieces are alike.
